1. As with anything, start small and experiment. Video email is a very powerful tool. It can show what your products have to offer, help instill trust in customers through video testimonials, and give your email list recipients a total look at what you have to offer. However, start out slowly. Do a short small video to test the waters. Make it something compelling, but not overly-ambitious. Your goal is to start with a video that is inexpensive and works well and that you can create with your own digital camera or Web cam. Once you have an established audience and they’re paying attention, you can pay a little more for highter quality.

2. Going along with those same lines, keep your video short. Keep in mind that, although video email marketing is interesting, the people you are sending it to do not have a lot of time. Try to keep your video in between 30 seconds and 1 minute and keep it as an intro to something better that’s to come in your email.

3. Don’t forget about your email layout and text.
In all the excitement of this new medium, it’s understandable that you will focus on your video. But remember that your email still needs links, images and good, compelling text. Although your open rates may increase when you use video email, not everyone will watch it. For this reason, use the video as an enhancement. . .not the whole purpose of the email. That meat should still be in the text.

4. Test it first with your base.
Consider sending a video email toa small group of your list first (the ones that usually open your emails). You can even contact them directly first and ask them if they’ll give you some feedback. A different eye can offer you some suggestions that you haven’t even considered.

5. Build a video email subscriber list
Some of your email recipients will prefer the new video way of communicating and other won’t so it’s a good idea to seperate the two. One way to do this is to ask all of your readers what they prefer and then just divide them up.

Video email marketing is still very new and unestablished, but it’s definitely unique and can open up new ways to brand yourself, make new sales and raise interest in your products and services. Again, you do want to start small and be patient. Don’t get discouraged if people don’t seem to be interested. This new medium may be the new standard before long so it’s a good idea to wet your feet with it right now.

There are many ways to get incoming links to your blog. I will mention some of the most important in this article.

Trading blogrolls (lists of links on your blog that lead to other blogs) is one method that people use to get others to link to their site. It’s sort of a “you-scratch-my-back-I’ll-scratch-yours” concept. There are mixed fellings on using this for a couple of reasons. some people use the blogroll to link to other sites that they feel are valuable for thier visitors. Others mainly use them just to include the link and then to have their link on the other person’s blog. This has the potential to become a political nightmare. You need to keep track of who you are allowing in your blogroll and if their blogs maintain a professional and informative status. If you drop anyone from your blogroll, you can rile some people up. On the other hand, you can gain many links fairly quickly with this strategy. It might be something worth trying out in your earlier blog days and then you can decide later on if it’s working for you.

Participating in forums is a great way to get people to link to you. Just include your url in your signature when you make a comment or ask a question. Similarly, using your url in your email strategy can increase exposure to your site and increased exposure means increased potential for a link building blog.

Submiting articles is a sure-fire tried and true method for getting lots of links to your blog. But this one does take time. If you are an average (or better than average) writer and you have the time to decicate to writing articles consistently and submitting them consistently, this is a great way to gain status and links. Here you just have to make sure that you don’t submit duplicate content. Many article directories can help you change various phrases within your content so that you can submit many different articles with different keywords instead of just the one original article that you’ve created.

A similar sort of concept involves you writing as a guest on other blogs. Just sign-up as a guest blogger for a professional, authoritative blog and you will see more and more people linking back to your blog.
Publishing videos on YouTube and then linking them back to your blog in your video description is a great way to get more traffic and more incoming links to your blog. Plus, it puts a little fun as go down the road towards obtaining a link building blog!

First of all, you can sign up for free. When you do so, you’ll need two gmail addresses. Most safelists will only accept gmail addresses because of the bulk amounts of email you’ll be getting in your inboxes. Whatever you do, do not use your primary email address when you sign up. You’ll understand why as I explain further.

Many safelists allow you to sign up for free and give you credits right from the get-go. These credits equal out to the amount of the safelist’s members that you can send a promotional email to. You will send out this email with a link to whatever site you want to promote and members will click on that site in order to receive credits. The hope is that as they are clicking on your site, they will also be interested in what you have to offer. In order to gain more credits, you also will have to open all the emails sent out to you from the safelist and click on the members sites. You can continue to earn credits by clicking or you can upgrade your account which gives you credits even if you don’t click.

So, that’s the gist of how a safelist works. There are hundreds of safelists on the internet and the more that you can promote to, the more leads/sales you will generate. That’s where the safelist submitter comes in. This type of software allows you to sumit your ad to many of the safelists all at once.

It seems that submitters do come and go pretty frequently and their legitimacy is questioned often on the net. However, this one has stood the test of time and does continue to get good reviews from real people. It’s called The Safelist Boys.
